I know we're not quite into Lent yet but, since I've just accepted the invitation to join, I thought I'd make a note of that. What comes to mind is a question that was raised on another forum I participate in (Selfsufficient-ish.com... for people who want to live in an organic, sustainable way without cutting themselves off entirely from the 21st Century), about what people were giving up or taking up for Lent.
Initially, my answer was "nothing" but, as the invitation email reminded me, that's not quite correct. I'm not planning on giving anything up in particular but I am taking up membership in a temporary online community of fellow sojourners... and looking forward to it!
